A rocket was launched Tuesday morning from northern Gaza toward Israeli border communities and was intercepted by an Israeli Air Force aircraft, according to an official IDF statement. Sirens sounded in several towns, including Sderot, Ibim, and Or HaNer.
The IDF confirmed the launch and successful interception, adding that details are still under review.
No casualties or damage were reported, and Magen David Adom stated that no emergency calls were received at its 101 hotline. Emergency teams remain on alert as the situation develops.

Ground Offensive Expands in Gaza
Meanwhile, IDF reserve forces from the 252nd Division continue large-scale ground operations in northern and central Gaza, aiming to dismantle Hamas and Islamic Jihad infrastructure and expand Israel’s security buffer.

During a recent operation, elite IDF combat engineers (Yahalom) a one-kilometer operational tunnel used by Hamas. In a separate mission, forces discovered a rocket manufacturing workshop located inside a densely built civilian area.
