In the coming weeks, a moving series of gatherings will be held at heritage sites throughout Israel—all centered on the events of October 7. These events will include conversations with bereaved families, survivors of the massacre, and stories of soldiers who fell while saving lives. The program also features musical performances and special tours.
Open to the Public – Free with Advance Registration
All events are free and open to the public, but require registration in advance. Full details, including the schedule, locations, and how to sign up, can be found on the website of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites.

Events will take place at venues including the Shmueli Courtyard in Sejera, the Beit Ussishkin Museum in Kibbutz Dan, Ben-Gurion’s Hut in Sde Boker, Yad Mordechai, the Joe Alon Center, the Valley Railway, the Ayalon Institute Museum, the Levi Eshkol House, and others.

The Theme: Memory That Connects to Hope
At the heart of each event is a personal story and a human connection—whether it’s parents who launched educational initiatives in memory of a fallen son, survivors who chose to embrace life again, or soldiers who share their stories of heroism and their decision to return and contribute to society.

Alongside the Pain – Music, Creativity, and Community
Some of the gatherings include music, performances, or community-based activities that provide space for emotional expression and connection—such as “Singing Memory” at Kibbutz Meserik, a dance performance at Yad Mordechai, and live concerts at heritage sites.

All event details are available on the website of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites.
