The spokesperson for Rambam Health Care Campus confirmed this morning (Thursday) that a Syrian girl was treated in Israel and has since returned to her home.
The 12-year-old had been suffering from a life-threatening heart condition. Last week, she was evacuated from southern Syria to Rambam Hospital by the IDF. She arrived in critical condition, accompanied by her mother, and was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. There, she underwent an urgent, life-saving medical procedure. Over her four-day hospitalization, her condition improved rapidly and significantly.
Two days ago, the girl was discharged and transferred back to the IDF, which ensured her return to a meeting point in southern Syria, where she was reunited with her father.

This exceptional case is part of a broader humanitarian initiative led by Israel deep within Syria. At the end of last month, it was revealed that a medical facility had been established inside Syrian territory to provide care for Syrian Druze civilians in need of medical assistance due to exchanges of fire with supporters of the new regime in Damascus.
Care Amid Continued Fighting
While medical care is being provided, Israeli forces continue operations in the region. Last night, the IDF’s Alexandroni Reserve Brigade completed a military operation in the village of Beit Jann in southern Syria. Several Syrian suspects were arrested on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activity, according to a report by Doron Kadosh.
Earlier this week, IDF forces eliminated a terrorist affiliated with Hezbollah and another operative from the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, which operate under Hezbollah’s direction, in the village of Shebaa in southern Lebanon. The terrorists were found in possession of weapons used by Hezbollah for terrorist purposes and had been conducting surveillance on IDF forces in the area.
