The Israeli government is promoting a plan to encourage military reservists to move to the north in an effort to rehabilitate and strengthen the area following the evacuation of residents due to the security situation. This was announced today (Monday) by Minister of the Negev, the Galilee, and National Resilience, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, during the “B’Sheva” conference.
According to him, “There’s a dedicated command post to assist those interested in relocating to the north. We need to invest more in promoting the move, but the plan is taking shape.”
Incentives for Reservists
To encourage the relocation, the government is offering reservists comprehensive assistance in employment, education, and community integration.

Coming Home
Alongside the efforts to attract reservists, the government is also focusing on rebuilding the evacuated towns. Wasserlauf noted that most residents have already returned home and that everyone is expected to return by July. He added that the government is offering incentives and grants and is investing billions in rebuilding infrastructure and public buildings.

No More Rounds
Against the backdrop of tens of thousands of emergency draft orders (Tzav 8) issued in recent days, Wasserlauf called on reservists to enlist, emphasizing that this is a decisive operation, not just another round of fighting.
“The soldiers understand: this isn’t back-and-forth again — it’s finally a decisive moment, once and for all,” he said.
