The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has issued early call-up warnings to several reserve brigades as part of a broader preparation for expanded ground operations in Gaza, according to a report Tuesday by Israeli news site, Walla News.

Preparing for a “Mega Maneuver” in Gaza
The IDF emphasized that the mobilization of reserve forces is part of a comprehensive plan to escalate the ground campaign, referred to internally as a “step toward a mega maneuver” against Hamas. Military officials note that multiple operational stages remain available and are expected to be deployed in the coming weeks as Israel sharpens its strategic pressure on the terrorist organization.

Initial reports suggest the reserve brigades will focus on defensive missions along the Gaza border, including securing key roads, protecting the buffer security zone, and defending nearby Israeli communities.

The Goal: Maximum Pressure to Collapse Hamas Control
The readiness plan aligns with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir’s strategy, which was outlined last week: to maximize pressure on Hamas through an integrated combination of airstrikes and expanded ground assaults. The overarching objectives are to secure the return of the Israeli hostages and to dismantle Hamas’ control of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier today, the IDF announced the elimination of several senior Hamas operatives in Gaza, including a senior Nukhba unit terrorist from the Deir al-Balah battalion. The eliminated operative led the October 7 assault on Kibbutz Kissufim, part of Hamas’ brutal massacre of Israeli civilians and soldiers.
