For the benefit of residents and tourists during the holiday of Passover, Israel Railways has announced a special holiday schedule with significantly increased service. Throughout the intermediate days of the holiday (Chol HaMoed), trains will operate continuously—nearly around the clock—until Friday afternoon, and service will resume again after the end of Shabbat and the holiday.

Trains will run with increased capacity—two connected trains on each route—to ease passenger load. In addition, standby trains will be on alert and activated as needed.

Fridays and Holiday Evenings: Extra Trains on Main Lines
Today (Friday) and on the second night of Passover, trains will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., based on the regular Friday schedule but with increased frequency.

On the Haifa–Tel Aviv line, service will double to two trains per hour. The Nahariya–Lehavim Rahat line will be extended to Be’er Sheva, and continuous service will also be provided on the Dimona–Be’er Sheva route.

Holiday Evenings: Special Night Service
On the nights following the first and second holidays—Sunday, April 13, and Saturday, April 19—trains will operate from 9:30 p.m. to midnight. These night services will also be enhanced, including two trains per hour on the Haifa–Tel Aviv line, trains on the Dimona–Be’er Sheva route, and continued service on the Beit She’an–Atlit line.

Extended Routes and Additional Stops
From April 14 to 17, and on Sunday, April 20, routes will be extended to better accommodate travelers. Train No. 30, departing Be’er Sheva at 9:41 a.m., will continue all the way to Haifa Merkaz HaShmona, stopping in Herzliya, Haifa Hof HaCarmel, and Haifa Bat Galim. Train No. 37 will run in the opposite direction—from Haifa to Be’er Sheva—with the same stops.

Family Activities: “Signaling Spring” at the Railway Museum
Israel Railways invites the public to the “Signaling Spring” festival, taking place during Chol HaMoed at the Israel Railway Museum in Haifa.

The event will feature a new signal exhibition and a variety of activities for children and families. Special trains will run directly to the museum from Haifa Merkaz HaShmona Station between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Entry to the activities requires advance registration and a fee.
