The London-based Arab newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported that Israel has recently intensified the use of drones to deploy spy devices throughout the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, the tiny devices, the size of a worm, are hidden in bags in desolate areas, cemeteries, and even within populated neighborhoods, aiming to collect intelligence on hostages and the activities of terrorist organizations.

Palestinians from Gaza Arrested on Suspicion of Collaborating with Israel
Sources from terrorist organizations in Gaza reported to the Arab channel that Hamas operatives have noticed some of the drones and have thwarted spying attempts. They claim that in some cases, armed men waited at the points where the devices fell to check if Israeli operatives would arrive to collect them.

Additionally, as a result, several Palestinian individuals from Gaza were arrested by Hamas on suspicion of collaborating with Israel.

Hamas Prepares for Military Action
The sources indicated that the drones operated mainly in strategic areas of the Gaza Strip, including Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, and major neighborhoods in Gaza. Furthermore, it was reported that Israel is using suicide drones to eliminate terrorists, and Hamas is on high alert for a potential Israeli surprise operation.
In this context, the IDF is increasing its readiness for possible military scenarios, including the collapse of the ceasefire, infiltration by terrorists, or surprise attacks. According to reports, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has ordered preparations for a rapid response to any escalation attempt by Hamas, in close coordination with the Air Force, Military Intelligence, and the ISA (Shin Bet).

Previously, the IDF website reported on cooperation between the company XTEND and MAFAT (the Administration for the Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure in the Ministry of Defense), leading the field of future warfare with the XTENDER system, which provides forces with the capability to operate remotely and safely while maintaining high operational precision.
An innovative drone, referred to as “The 13th Warrior”, integrates into complex operations, provides advanced intelligence, breaches doors, and is capable of planting small explosives – all without risking the lives of the soldiers. “This innovative technology sets a new standard on the urban battlefield and allows the IDF to carry out vital missions with high effectiveness while minimizing the exposure of the forces to danger,” it was stated.
