Earlier today (Sunday), IDF soldiers operating in northern Gaza identified suspicious figures moving several hundred meters near their position close to the border.
The troops mobilized military vehicles and fired warning shots toward the suspects. Following the gunfire, several hits were confirmed, and those approaching the security barrier fled the area. According to reports, at least two of the terrorists were eliminated.
Determined to Protect Civilians
The IDF stated: “We are determined to continue protecting Israeli citizens and will act against any violation while strictly maintaining the terms of the agreement. The IDF once again urges Gaza residents to follow IDF instructions and not to approach deployed forces in the area.”

As part of ongoing efforts to bring home Israeli hostages still held by Hamas, IDF forces withdrew from the Netzarim corridor yesterday, in accordance with the hostage deal framework. “We will return here. Hamas is preparing, but so are we. We will come back and bring all the hostages home,” said official instructions in the withdrawal order.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered a delegation to travel to Doha, Qatar, for technical negotiations regarding the second phase of the deal with Hamas. Reports indicate that the discussions will focus on critical issues, including further IDF withdrawals from Gaza in exchange for the release of hostages and the return of fallen soldiers’ remains.
The IDF remains vigilant in safeguarding Israel’s borders, swiftly neutralizing threats and preventing further escalation. As efforts continue to secure the region, Israel stands firm in its commitment to protecting its citizens.
