Internal Documents, Evidence of the Connection Between Hamas and the Media
As early as October 2024, the IDF and Shin Bet exposed internal documents from Hamas, which included a list of military training participants for the Beit Hanoun Brigade. Shabat, born in 2001, appears in the documents as an anti-tank fighter and company sniper. According to the data, he held an official fighter’s certificate within the organization and had an internal military ID number.
Shabat is a prime example of how terrorists use journalistic cover, particularly with Al Jazeera, as a platform for hiding militant activities. “The IDF and Shin Bet clarified that they “will continue to operate against Hamas terrorists and eliminate any threat to Israeli citizens.”
