In a public statement, the IDF Spokesperson announced that no damage was caused to IDF bases in the attack from Lebanon today.

About three hours ago, Nasrallah delivered a speech in which he claimed that their attack had achieved its objective by successfully damaging IDF bases. However, the IDF Spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, has contradicted these statements, announcing that no IDF bases were damaged in the drone and missile attack this morning.

“We have been monitoring Hezbollah for weeks. The moment we identified their intention to carry out the attack, we thwarted most of it. Hezbollah encountered a strong response. The Air Force struck more than 100 targets with 100 fighter jets. Six militants were eliminated in the strikes, and we may discover more in the coming days,” Hagari began his address. He added, “Out of the targets struck, about 90 were short-range rockets aimed at northern Israel. Most of the rockets were intercepted or fell in open areas. Contrary to Hezbollah’s claims, there were no hits on IDF bases—neither in the north nor in the center. As a result of an interception during the attack, Staff Sergeant David Moshe Ben Shitrit was critically injured and later succumbed to his wounds. May his memory be blessed. The incident is under investigation, and we extend our condolences to the family.”

Finally, Hagari clarified that there are no significant changes to Home Front Command’s guidelines, following new instructions that were issued and then retracted this morning: “At this time, there is no change in Home Front Command’s guidelines. We ask you to adhere to the existing instructions as you did today. We will continue to update you immediately on any changes. We are acting responsibly in pursuit of the war’s objectives. The most important mission is to protect the citizens of Israel. Sinwar’s hope of dragging the Middle East into a full-scale war has not materialized. We will strike his terror infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip,” Hagari stated.
