Katz: Every Terrorist Who Tries to Harm Israeli Citizens Is as Good as Dead
Following the strike, Defense Minister Israel Katz stated: “The IDF has just targeted Hezbollah terrorists in the Yuhmur area after they engaged in terrorist activities against Israel. Our policy is clear: zero tolerance for any violation.”

He further stressed that Israel will not allow Hezbollah to rebuild its capabilities. “We will not allow the Hezbollah terror organization to regain strength. Every terrorist who tries to harm Israeli citizens is as good as dead. Anyone who tests us will witness our strength.”

Intensified Military and Diplomatic Efforts
An Israeli delegation is currently in Cairo holding discussions with senior Egyptian officials to advance a hostage deal. The U.S. has assured Israel of its full support for increasing military action if Hamas fails to progress toward an agreement. A senior American official clarified: “Hamas’ proposal is unacceptable, and the alternative for them will be severe.”

According to reports, Israel is expected to allow only a few more weeks for negotiations before considering a significant military escalation. Channel 12 has reported that the IDF is preparing for a potential return to full-scale combat in Gaza should no breakthrough be achieved in negotiations.

Israeli forces have already begun deploying reinforcements to the area, with additional units expected to follow. The IDF is preparing for the possibility of a wider conflict, though the political leadership remains mindful of the risks to hostages should combat resume. Israel remains committed to exhausting all diplomatic avenues before resorting to further military action.
