IDF Expands Counterterrorism Operation in Samaria

IDF forces extended the current operation, "Iron Wall" in Samaria this morning to the village of Tamun in the Menashe Brigade sector. So far, over 35 terrorists have been eliminated, and more than 100 wanted individuals have been arrested.

The IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police have continued their counterterrorism operation in northern Samaria for over 12 days. This morning, the operation was expanded to the village of Tamun in the Menashe Brigade sector. So far, over 35 terrorists have been eliminated, and more than 100 wanted individuals have been arrested. In a preemptive air strike, over 15 terrorists were killed. During the operation, our forces have seized dozens of weapons, destroyed hundreds of explosive devices, and neutralized additional IEDs planted along key routes to target Israeli forces.

Earlier today, our forces destroyed several buildings in Jenin that were used as terrorist infrastructure. Explosions from the demolitions were heard in multiple areas across the region.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the release of prisoners, the Judea and Samaria Division, and the Civil Administration, in collaboration with the Shin Bet, the Israel Prison Service, and Border Police, continue efforts to disperse what security officials describe as “celebratory gatherings and riots” following the release of the prisoners. The forces are actively maintaining order in the region.

The Civil Administration held a security assessment ahead of the prisoner releases. According to an IDF spokesperson’s statement following the meeting, “Strong messages have been conveyed to the Palestinian side.” The statement emphasized that “The IDF and security forces will show zero tolerance for disturbances and expressions of support for Hamas.”
