Yesterday (Sunday), the IDF attacked and destroyed a Hamas rocket launching site in the southern Gaza Strip, near Khan Yunis. The site contained armed and loaded rocket launchers prepared to fire toward Israeli territory.

According to the IDF Spokesperson, the strike resulted in heavy explosions, indicating the presence of multiple ready-to-launch rockets inside the launchers. This thwarted another attempt by Hamas to fire a barrage of rockets at Israeli communities, at a time when intense fighting continues in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

IDF Strike of Rocket Launchers:

Meanwhile, the “Iron Fist” Combat Team (205th Brigade) continues intensive operational activity in the Rafah area. The forces are working to destroy terrorist infrastructure and eliminate Hamas operatives, with dozens of terrorists killed in the area over the past week. During operations, caches of Hamas weapons were discovered hidden inside civilian structures – approximately 80 meters from a building that previously served as a school, and about 100 meters from a hospital.

Protecting Civilians
The IDF emphasized: “The terrorist organization Hamas cynically uses civilian areas for terrorist activity,” directly endangering the lives of Gaza residents themselves. IDF forces will continue to act decisively against terrorist organizations in the Strip – at all times and in all places – in order to protect the citizens of the State of Israel.
