Israeli security forces demolished the apartment of Mohammed Shakhour in Tulkarem overnight Wednesday, the terrorist involved in the November 2, 2023 bombing at Beit Lid Junction that killed Staff Sgt. (res.) Elchanan Ariel Klein, and wounded four other Border Police officers.

The operation was carried out by combat engineers from the elite Yahalom Unit, as part of Israel’s ongoing campaign against terrorist infrastructure in the West Bank.

Attack Took Place Near Einav in 2023
The deadly attack occurred near the Israeli community of Einav, when a terrorist cell detonated an explosive device targeting a responding Border Police unit. Klein, a reservist, was killed in the blast, and four others sustained injuries.

The IDF emphasized that such operations will continue against anyone who harms—or attempts to harm—Israeli civilians or security forces.

“The demolition of terrorists’ homes is part of the defense establishment’s deterrence strategy,” the military stated.

Context: Second Demolition in Two Days
Just a day earlier, Israeli forces demolished the home of Jihad Mansour, the terrorist responsible for the March 22, 2024 attack at Tzomet HaParsa (HaParsa Junction), in which Staff Sgt. Ilay David Garfinkel was killed and six soldiers were wounded during an exchange of fire.
