As part of the ‘Iron Shield Operation’ to counter terrorist strongholds in northern Samaria, Israeli security forces—including the IDF, The Israeli Security Agency (The Shin Bet), and Border Police—have been operating in Tulkarem,
arresting over fifty terrorists and eliminating three by Monday evening. Forces also discovered an explosives manufacturing workshop and neutralized approximately forty five IEDs that had been planted along the roads to target Israeli forces.
Combat Intensifying in Judea and Samaria
On Sunday, engineering units from the Menashe Battalion and the elite Yahalom combat unit demolished 23 buildings in Jenin that were housing terrorist infrastructure. In the same operation, security forces eliminated more than 35 terrorists and arrested over 100 wanted suspects.
