“After 12 Days of Unprecedented Fighting – the IDF Operated at Its Best”
On the first day of the ceasefire with Iran, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir stated: “After twelve days of unprecedented fighting – the IDF operated at its best and fully achieved the objectives of the operation.”
He emphasized that according to senior intelligence officials, the damage inflicted on Iran’s nuclear program was systemic rather than localized. “The cumulative achievement allows us to state that the Iranian nuclear project has suffered severe, broad, and deep damage and has been set back by years. We will not allow Iran to develop weapons of mass destruction.”

Atomic Energy Commission: Fordow Facility Severely Damaged
Earlier in the day, the Atomic Energy Commission released a statement confirming that “the devastating U.S. strike on the Fordow facility critically damaged the site’s infrastructure, rendering the enrichment facility inoperable.” Fordow is considered a central component of Iran’s uranium enrichment network, and the attack halted its operations, eliminating a direct threat posed by the facility.

The Commission noted that the combined American and Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure have led to a significant delay in its military nuclear program. It also stated that as long as Iran does not regain access to fissile material, the current achievements will be preserved.
Israeli Commandos Operated Deep Inside Iran
IDF Chief Zamir also revealed that Israeli ground commandos carried out secret missions deep within Iran during the operation. “Ground commando forces operated covertly in the heart of enemy territory and secured us operational freedom,” he said.
Following remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump at the NATO Summit—where he revealed that Mossad agents inspected the Fordow facility post-strike and “found total obliteration”—Zamir confirmed Israeli forces were involved in these actions.
Unprecedented Air Operation Protected Israeli Skies
Though a ceasefire is now in effect and relative calm has returned, it follows an extended and intense aerial campaign. During Operation Rising Lion (Am Ka’lavi), the IDF Air Force intercepted hundreds of UAVs launched from Iranian territory toward Israel. The air defense and control networks identified and neutralized the aerial threats, achieving a major operational and technological success that safeguarded the home front.
Fighter jets and helicopters operated continuously, intercepting threats across the Middle East, often outside Israel’s borders. Most UAVs were intercepted before reaching Israeli airspace. A coordinated effort between the aerial control units, air defense systems, and combat squadrons closed hundreds of operational loops to secure Israeli skies.

An IDF spokesperson stated: “The Air Force will continue to operate to remove any aerial threat over Israeli territory and to protect the citizens and residents of the State of Israel.”
