Under cover of night, deep in southern Syria, IDF forces raided a terror cell operating under Iranian direction. Following intelligence gathering in recent weeks, a targeted arrest was carried out in Syrian territory.
The operation was conducted by troops from the Golan Brigade (474), under the command of Division 210, and in coordination with field investigators from Unit 504. The arrest took place in the Umm al-Lux and Ain al-Batsali regions.

Request for Guarantees Regarding Iran Strike
Meanwhile, diplomatic discussions continue aimed at preserving the gains of the recent strike in Iran. According to a report this morning by Kan Reshet Bet, political sources say that Prime Minister Netanyahu is expected to request guarantees from U.S. President Donald Trump for a future green light to strike Iran, should a significant escalation in its nuclear or missile production activity be detected.
The report states that Netanyahu may request the guarantees formally, via a letter from the American administration.
Netanyahu–Trump Meeting
Yesterday, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced at a cabinet meeting that he would travel to the U.S. next week for a diplomatic visit. The trip will include meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President Pence, National Security Advisor Marco Rubio, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Netanyahu said the visit aims to consolidate the achievements of Operation Rising Lion (Am Ka’Lavi) adding: “Capitalizing on success is just as important as achieving it.”
Normalization Between Syria and Israel
The strike in Syria raises serious questions about the developing normalization agreement with that country. According to the Lebanese newspaper Ad-Diyar, Syrian political sources claim the deal between Syria and Israel has already been finalized, with formal signing expected within a few months. Such a move could significantly shift the regional landscape, as Syrian acceptance of normalization would result in the lifting of U.S. sanctions—potentially impacting Syria’s economy and regional stability.
Iran’s influence in the area may on one hand encourage the need for stronger ties with Israel, while on the other, strain the trust between the two nations.
