Israeli Fighter Jets Fly Low Over Syrian Druze Areas
In recent days, Israel Air Force fighter jets were scrambled into Syrian airspace as part of Israeli measures to deter the new regime led by Abu Mohammad al-Jolani and to prevent it from harming the Druze population in Syria.
According to a report by N12, the jets flew at low altitude near Druze areas in Syria, sending a resolute warning and forcing Syrian forces to retreat from these regions.

Pilot Program: Employing Syrian Druze in the Golan Heights
Amid ongoing discussions between Israel and Druze leaders in Syria, concerns have risen over the threat of a massacre similar to that suffered by the Alawites. In response, Israel has decided to launch a pilot program allowing Syrian Druze workers to enter Israel for agricultural employment in the Golan Heights.

This initiative will involve a rigorous vetting process, with an initial intake of several dozen workers, and the potential for expansion in the future.

IDF Strikes Strategic Targets in Southern Syria
Overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, the IDF carried out extensive strikes deep inside Syria, aiming to prevent the new regime from acquiring weaponry that could be used against both Israel and the Druze community.
The strikes targeted former Assad regime military bases, as well as strategic military sites in Jabab and Azra in the Daraa region. According to the IDF, the objectives included “radar systems and detection equipment used for aerial intelligence gathering, as well as military command centers and storage facilities housing weapons and equipment for the Syrian regime in the south of the country.”

Israel’s Commitment to Protect the Druze in Syria
Israel Defense Minister Katz reaffirmed Israel’s active commitment to defending the Druze community in Syria, stating, “We will protect the Druze in Syria against any threat.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed this sentiment during his speech at an officer training graduation ceremony, declaring, “We will not tolerate threats against the Druze in southern Syria. Israel stands firm against any attempt to undermine their security.”
