This morning (Friday), the Hostage Management Authority informed the families of 33 hostages included in the first phase of a release deal. According to reports, the list, previously approved, comprises women, children, female soldiers, elderly individuals, and young men suffering from illness or injuries.
The list features names familiar to the entire nation, such as Romi Gonen, Emily Tehila Damari, Doron Steinbacher, and 9-month-old Kfir Bibas. While families were notified, they received no updates on the condition of their loved ones.
The authority stated that the names of hostages to be released in each wave would be shared with families 24 hours in advance. On the seventh day of the deal, Hamas is required to provide a list of the remaining living hostages.

Deal Approved by Cabinet, Government, and High Court
This morning (Friday) at 10:15 AM, the Security Cabinet is set to meet to discuss the details of the agreement signed overnight in Doha for the hostages’ release. Subsequently, a government meeting is expected, likely on Saturday evening. A list of prisoners and militants to be released will be published to allow High Court petitions, which are expected to be dismissed.
Senior legal officials clarified that judicial constraints would not delay the agreement’s execution. If necessary, the deadline for filing petitions could be expedited to facilitate the earliest possible return of the hostages.
Families were notified overnight about the deal’s signing. Hospitals are already preparing to receive the hostages upon their return. The IDF is readying for the agreement’s implementation, with three divisions stationed in the Gaza Strip. If the deal proceeds, a new phase will begin in the coming days, involving a redeployment of forces.
