Hostage survivor Ohad Ben Ami put on tefillin today and shared how his faith has strengthened during his time in captivity in Gaza.
“My faith in God, at least personally, held and saved me,” he said. “Thanks to God, I am back here after captivity. I probably had some things to fix.”
In a video where he was seen putting on Tefillin, Ben Ami referred to his experiences during captivity: “This only strengthens me. This is my message to the people of Israel. Our faith is what unites us and gives us strength at times when we are most humiliated, most broken. And we are here to win.” Ohad emphasized the need to continue fighting until the last hostage is brought home.
