Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, was not only physically eliminated in a successful operation by Israel but also underwent a severe psychological collapse in the preceding months. Nasrallah’s son, who was interviewed by the “Al-Manar” Arabic news channel, described his father’s mental state from the time Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah figure, was killed until his final moments.

Israel Defense Forces Radio quoted the son’s words: “Since Fuad Shukr was killed, through the beeper attack until his last days, he fell into a depression. People who met him said he was not the same person,” he shared.

Nasrallah, who was once in control and adept at manipulation and intimidation against Israel and the world, found himself isolated and anxious. The beeper attack, during which many classified Hezbollah ranks were exposed and harmed, led to shock within the organization and tarnished Nasrallah’s status as an undisputed leader.

The Israeli operation: Precise and thrilling elimination
As a reminder, Nasrallah’s elimination culminated after a complex and sophisticated operation by the Mossad, planned for many months. While Nasrallah struggled with depression and loneliness, security forces continued their investigation, gathering intelligence and meticulously planning the operation.

In a hiding place in Lebanon, while believing he was completely secure, Israel managed to breach Hezbollah’s security measures and execute a surgical and precise elimination. “Nasrallah was isolated, afraid to leave his hideout, and lost trust in his close associates,” reported a security source in Israel.

Israeli Response: This is Not the End of the Story
The Israeli security establishment did not hide its satisfaction with the success of the operation, and the evidence of Nasrallah’s depression and anxiety reflects the immense pressure Israel exerted through psychological warfare, advanced technological tools, and covert operations that struck at the heart of Hezbollah’s leadership.

The Defense Minister stated, “The elimination of Nasrallah is just another step in the fight against Hezbollah terrorism. Israel will continue to act decisively until the leaders of terror understand that there is no place for those who threaten the security of Israeli citizens.” Israel has not only succeeded in eliminating Nasrallah but has also destabilized the organization and conveyed a clear message: terror will not prevail.
