The Golani Brigade combat team continues to lead the fighting in the southern area of the Gaza Strip. During a focused operational mission in the ‘Morag Corridor’—one of the main routes in Rafah—significant damage was inflicted on Hamas’s terror infrastructure.

Precise Elimination of Weapons and Infrastructure
While sweeping the area, soldiers located and destroyed a weapons cache, a Hamas ‘Sha’abura Battalion’ training facility that included a mock tank simulating an IDF vehicle, and an operational site used by terrorists. All of these elements were integral to Hamas’s terror activity—and have now been removed from the battlefield.

Rapid Response to Shooting Cell
According to the IDF, a terrorist cell opened fire last week on Golani forces operating in the area. The soldiers responded with accurate fire, eliminating two terrorists on the spot. Shortly after, an IDF aircraft completed the mission by eliminating a third member of the cell.

The defense establishment stressed that the IDF will continue to act with force against terror organizations throughout the Gaza Strip, with full commitment to protecting Israeli civilians and restoring security to the communities in the south.
