Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, has formally requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following new evidence about the murder of Kfir and Ariel Bibas while in Hamas captivity.
Danon accused Hamas of violating its agreement with Israel by returning an unidentified body instead of the remains of Shiri Bibas, as previously agreed. He stated that Hamas brutally murdered four-year-old Ariel and nine-month-old Kfir with their bare hands and desecrated their bodies in November 2023.
Danon’s appeal underscores the gravity of Hamas’ actions, urging the Security Council to take immediate action in response to these new revelations.

Growing International Support for Israel’s Demand
The United States, United Kingdom, France, and Greece have joined Danon’s call for an urgent discussion at the Security Council. The meeting is expected to take place early next week, most likely on Monday or Tuesday.
Danon condemned Hamas for the way it handled the return of the hostages’ bodies, calling it a disgraceful and inhumane act. He enumerated that the murder of Ariel and Kfir, Hamas’ humiliating and degrading ceremony when returning their bodies, and the blatant violation of the agreement are all stark reminders that Hamas is a cruel, barbaric, and despicable terrorist organization.

Demand to Officially Recognize Hamas as a Terrorist Organization
Danon further called on the UN Security Council to go beyond condemnation and officially designate Hamas as a terrorist organization. He urged decisive action demanding that the Security Council convene, denounce Hamas, and officially declare it the terrorist organization that it truly is.
Meanwhile, new forensic evidence contradicts Hamas’ claims regarding the deaths of Kfir and Ariel Bibas. IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed last Friday that forensic examinations at the Abu Kabir Institute revealed the two children were murdered by Hamas terrorists with their bare hands—disproving Hamas’ assertion that they had died in Israeli airstrikes.
