Officers from the Lod Police Station, together with Border Police troops, carried out an intensified enforcement operation last night targeting the illegal possession of weapons. During the activity, police uncovered fragmentation and stun grenades, magazines, and ammunition in an open area adjacent to a kindergarten in Lod.
A Series of Significant Gains
According to the police, the items were likely stashed in the area as part of an arms buildup by criminal families in the Arab sector. The findings were transferred to the Israel Police’s forensic laboratories for further evidence processing.

As part of the operation, officers also conducted a focused search in the Pardes Snir neighborhood, where four local residents in their 20s were arrested. On-site, police seized magazines, ammunition, helmets, ceramic vests, rifle scopes, PLO scarves, and additional combat-related items.
