At the international conference against antisemitism held today (Wednesday) under the leadership of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, a video documenting some of the horrors of the October 7 Hamas attack was screened for participants. Dozens of diplomats and leaders were exposed to the harrowing footage — and the reaction in the hall was extraordinarily intense.
40 Minutes of Complete Silence During the Screening
The conference took place this week at the initiative of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, with the participation of senior officials from around the world. As part of the event, a video over 40 minutes long was shown to attendees, including authentic footage from the brutal Hamas attack on Israeli communities surrounding Gaza. The material was collected from IDF sources, security cameras, and the bodycams of the terrorists themselves.

Throughout the entire screening, absolute silence prevailed in the hall. No one spoke. No one moved. Cameras captured guests visibly shaken by what they saw, with many showing signs of deep distress even after the film ended. Some participants struggled to find words afterward.

“The Children in the Video Are the Same Age as Mine”
One of the few who chose to speak afterward was Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi. In an emotional speech following the screening, he said: “The children I saw in the video are the same age as my own! What would I have done if I were in their father’s place? Now more than ever, I stand with Israel!”
Popșoi’s remarks joined a series of unequivocal statements of support for Israel from other conference attendees, who emphasized that 21st-century antisemitism now has deadly manifestations — and that the free world cannot remain indifferent.
