The IDF Spokesperson released recordings today (Tuesday) from recent weeks in which Gaza residents speak with a COGAT officer, detailing how Hamas operates against civilians in the Strip in an effort to disrupt the distribution of food aid at designated hubs.
Terror Tactics and False Narratives
According to the testimonies, Hamas carries out acts of terror, psychological pressure, and misinformation against local residents. They describe the terror group shooting at civilians near distribution areas, spreading false claims that IDF soldiers are responsible for the gunfire, and disseminating fabricated casualty reports and staged footage.

“Hamas Is Deliberately Firing at People”
“Hamas media — not those in Gaza, the ones in Egypt and Turkey — they’re doing everything to sabotage American aid,” one resident said, adding that many critics of the U.S. aid are not even from Gaza.
Another local, responding to a question about shooting in Rafah, said: “It’s Hamas people doing this. They are deliberately firing at people. They’re doing it on purpose,” he emphasized.

The IDF Spokesperson stated: “Hamas is a brutal terror organization that starves the population and does everything it can to sabotage food distribution efforts in Gaza through the aid hubs, endangering civilians to maintain its control over the Gaza Strip.”
