Former hostages Ofer Calderon and Keith Siegel were both released from the hospital today (Friday) after completing all required medical examinations. Both were freed last Saturday and were immediately hospitalized for a full physical assessment following their captivity.

“The Rehabilitation Journey Is Not Over Yet”
Ofer Calderon told his family that he intends to join the fight to bring back the remaining hostages. “We want to thank the people of Israel for the support and warm embraces we have received over the past week,” his family said in a statement. They also expressed gratitude to the security forces and the dedicated medical staff at Sheba Hospital who treated Ofer with compassion and care.

“Ofer’s rehabilitation journey, as well as our family’s, is still long and will not be complete until all the hostages return home. Ofer promises to join the fight for their release at the first opportunity he can,” they added.

During the upcoming Shabbat, three more men are expected to be released as part of the fifth phase of the hostage deal. Medical institutions remain fully prepared to receive additional survivors upon their return to Israel.
