Fallen Heroes: Border Police Officer and IDF Captain Fall in Gaza Battle

Capt. Ido Voloch and Sgt. First Class Neta Kahana fell in battle in Gaza in a clash with Hamas terrorists. Their families have been notified and are being supported by the IDF and Border Police.

Israel Police, Border Police, and the IDF announced this evening (Saturday) the deaths of two fighters in the battles in Gaza:
Capt. Ido Voloch z”l, 21, from Jerusalem, an armored corps officer and platoon commander in Battalion 46 of the “Tracks of Iron” Formation (401st Brigade), and Sgt. First Class Neta Yitzhak Kahana z”l, a fighter in the undercover Border Police unit of the Southern District.

“Acts of Courage and Determination”
Capt. Ido Voloch, who recently completed his officers’ course, commanded tank crews in the armored effort in the northern Gaza Strip. He was killed yesterday during a battle with terrorists.
His commanders and comrades described him as a dedicated and principled officer who instilled a sense of security and calm among his soldiers, even during intense combat.

Sgt. First Class Neta Kahana, a fighter in the elite undercover Border Police unit, operated deep within densely built areas as part of the counterterrorism effort. He fell during an engagement in southern Gaza, demonstrating courage and determination that exemplify the spirit of this special unit.

The families of the fallen have been notified. The IDF and Border Police are accompanying the families through these difficult times and are committed to supporting them through all stages of commemoration and recovery.

“Precision Operations Against Terror Cells”
The 401st Brigade continues to operate in northern Gaza, combining armored, engineering, and infantry forces to destroy terror infrastructure and block enemy firing routes.
Meanwhile, the undercover Border Police unit in the south continues precision operations against terror cells, in cooperation with intelligence services and other special forces.
