Thirty-six Israeli children fighting cancer went on a week-long adventure filled with excitement in Dubai. During the visit, which concluded last weekend, the children enjoyed diverse attractions, including Burj Khalifa, Ferrari Park, the Frame, Flower Park, canal boat rides, a fountain show, and Palm Beach. Accompanying the group was a doctor and a nurse who monitored the children’s conditions and provided comprehensive medical care throughout the journey.

This trip is part of the extensive services provided by the Oranit House of the Ezer Mizion organization, which supports the children throughout the year, as they cope with their illness. Supporters of the organization accompanied them during their journey in Dubai, including Maor Cohen, known as the organization’s Lego representative, as he provides the children with Lego sets to distract them from their challenges and provide needed emotional support.

A particularly moving visit took place at the Israeli Embassy in Dubai. The Israeli Consul General in Dubai, Liron Zaslavsky, hosted the children at the embassy. They received a comprehensive tour of the facility, where they learned about the embassy’s work, and the staff prepared a special program for them. They learned about security matters, participated in various games, and more.

In a special gesture, the embassy presented each child with a Lego model of the Burj Khalifa as a personal gift. The consul accompanied the group throughout the trip, showing exceptional sensitivity toward the children and providing them with a sense of warmth and love.

Consul Liron Zaslavsky shared, “We had the privilege of hosting these heroic children and the wonderful team from Ezer Mizion. We were happy to spend time with them and give them a taste of the activities of the Foreign Ministry’s representatives abroad. I am sure that some of them will become excellent ambassadors for the State of Israel in the future!”

Dr. Bracha Zisser, founder and director of the Oranit House, added: “This journey is like a breath of fresh air for the children who get a break and have fun, allowing them to forget, even momentarily, about the treatments and difficulties of their illness. For us, it’s part of their healing and recovery process, and we will continue to be here for them during their challenging journey.”
