The IDF released today (Tuesday) documentation of the interrogation of Hamas operative Anas Muhammad Faiz al-Sharif, who was arrested during a joint operation by the IDF, the Shin Bet, and Unit 504. The interrogation revealed how the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza has been used as a base for terror operations. In his statement, al-Sharif disclosed how Hamas exploits the hospital: “They think it’s a safe haven because the army won’t attack a hospital directly.” He added,”Weapons were transferred to and from the hospital for ambushes and tunnel activities.”
Weapons Transfers Through the Hospital
During the interrogation, al-Sharif described Hamas’s methods: “Terrorists arrive at the hospital in the morning and distribute grenade and mortar equipment from within. These are used to attack tanks, prepare ambushes, and supply underground tunnels and command centers. This happens at Kamal Adwan, in Jabalia’s Falouja camp, or other locations where new operatives are present.”

Last weekend, forces from the IDF’s 162nd Division arrested over 240 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists in the vicinity of the Kamal Adwan Hospital. Today, interrogation materials from Unit 504 were cleared for publication. The IDF emphasized that these investigations have provided crucial intelligence for ongoing military operations in Gaza.
Revealing Terror Activities at Civilian Sites
Anas al-Sharif, who was captured during an operation by the 401st Brigade and Unit 504, was brought to Israel for interrogation. He detailed his role within Hamas and the systematic use of the hospital for transporting weapons and equipment, exploiting the protection offered by civilian infrastructure.
In his interrogation, led by Unit 504 investigators, al-Sharif exposed Hamas’s methods: transferring weapons, planning ambushes, and operating terror tunnels—all while cynically using civilians and medical facilities as shields for their activities.
