The IDF and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) are continuing their series of counterterrorism operations in the Gaza Strip. Over the past week, several senior terrorists were eliminated, whom security assessments indicate were involved in planning serious attacks against Israel—and in the bloody raids of October 7.

“Returned to Terror Activity After His Release”
One of the main terrorists eliminated was Ali Nidal Hasani Tarfiti, a senior operative in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Tarfiti had already served a lengthy prison sentence in Israel between 2002 and 2015 due to deep involvement in terrorist activities. After his release, he resumed intensive terrorist operations.

Investigations revealed that in recent years, he maintained contact with terror cells in Judea and Samaria, transferring millions of shekels to help establish new terror infrastructures and to carry out attacks inside Israel.

Additionally, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Saeed Amin Saeed Abu Hassanein, a senior Hamas terrorist who served in in the Nukhba unit, Hamas’s elite force. Abu Hassanein was one of the commanders who stormed and led the brutal assault on Kibbutz Kissufim during the murderous invasion of October 7.

Also eliminated in the recent strikes was Mustafa Youssef Al-Abed Matouq, the operations officer of Hamas’s Jabalia Battalion, responsible for coordinating terror infrastructure and directing attacks against IDF forces across the Gaza Strip.

The IDF emphasized that it will continue proactive offensive operations against terror infrastructures, Hamas operatives, and other elements that threaten the security of the State of Israel. “We will not allow terrorist organizations to rebuild capabilities and endanger Israeli citizens,” the statement read.
