Footage from the Moment of Yaffa Adar’s Kidnapping:

Abducted on Her Mobility Scooter – Upright and Smiling
Yaffa Adar, 86, was abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz to Gaza and released after 49 days as part of the first phase of the hostage deal. On the same day, her eldest grandson, Tamir Adar, 38, who left his home to protect his family and his beloved kibbutz, was killed by Hamas terrorists. After 90 agonizing days of uncertainty, the grieving family was informed that Amir had been killed, and his body remained captive in Gaza.

Yaffa became a symbol of the “Swords of Iron” war defiance, when the unforgettable image of her being taken on her mobility scooter into Gaza, upright and smiling despite being surrounded by Hamas terrorists, became widely known.
