Likud MK Boaz Bismuth made headlines in Norway last week after appearing on NRK, the country’s national television broadcaster. His assertive responses during the interview quickly went viral. The host accused Israel of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and deliberately causing starvation. Bismuth didn’t hold back.

“I’m asking you—what would you do if civilians came and murdered your children, raped and killed?” Bismuth challenged the interviewer. “Would you give them a medal? I’m asking you—what do you do in Norway with someone who does that? What do you do with criminals in Norway? Do you give them medals?”

“A Terror Group, Not a People”
At one point, the interviewer attempted to steer the conversation back to questions about the IDF’s operations in Gaza. Bismuth refused to accept the framing of Israel as the aggressor in the conflict. He stressed that Israel is fighting a terrorist organization guilty of war crimes, while maintaining high moral standards even during combat.

“It was a terrorist organization that attacked us—not a people,” Bismuth said, emphasizing that Hamas, not Israel, bears responsibility for the situation in Gaza.

“Like Boaz” – The T-Shirt Taking Norway by Storm
The interview sparked widespread reactions across Norway and on social media. Pro-Israel supporters in the country embraced Bismuth’s firm stance, and began selling T-shirts bearing the slogan “Like Boaz” as a symbol of standing strong and defending Israel’s position.

At the end of the interview, Bismuth reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to Israel:
“I don’t apologize for defending my country. Israel will always be here—strong, Jewish, and democratic.”
