“Strong Messages Delivered to the Palestinian Side”

In preparation for the release of Palestinian prisoners, forces from the Judea and Samaria Division, the Civil Administration, the Shin Bet, the Israel Prison Service, and Border Police have been actively dispersing what Israel’s security establishment describes as “joyful gatherings and rioting” in response to the prisoners’ release. These forces are working to maintain public order in the region.

Security Briefing on Prisoner Release

The Civil Administration conducted a security assessment ahead of the planned prisoner releases. Following the meeting, the IDF Spokesperson announced: “Firm messages were conveyed to the Palestinian side that the IDF and security forces will exercise zero tolerance toward disturbances and displays of support for the Hamas terror organization.”

The statement further stressed that “the IDF and security forces will continue to act against suspects involved in riots, incitement, and terrorist support and warn against participation in such terror-related activities.”

Earlier This Week: 12 Arrested for Supporting a Terrorist in Qalandiya

Over the past few days, Israeli security forces have arrested several Palestinians identified as instigators of riots in response to the prisoner releases. The suspects were taken for further interrogation by Israeli security services.

Additionally, the Shin Bet has issued warning calls to the families of prisoners set to be released, and reinforcements have been deployed in sensitive areas.

Earlier this week, 12 individuals were arrested in Qalandiya, north of Jerusalem, for public displays of support for a terrorist freed in a recent deal. The suspects were detained by Jerusalem District Police for their involvement in celebrations promoting Hamas and the released terrorist.
