More than 25,000 people visited Binyamin’s tourism and nature sites during the intermediate days of Passover, according to an update today (Friday) from the Binyamin Regional Council.
Most Popular Sites
The Ancient Shiloh Heritage Site stood out as one of the most visited locations, drawing around 5,000 visitors over the holiday. Guests enjoyed a variety of family-friendly activities under the theme “A Journey Through Time in the City of the Tabernacle,” including hands-on workshops and immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences offering a glimpse of the Holy Temple. A display featuring kosher red heifers was also opened to the public and sparked strong interest.
Thousands more explored natural springs and hiking trails throughout western and eastern Binyamin, as well as the Adumim bloc. The Binyamin Regional Council noted that the number of visitors increases with each holiday, except for last year due to the war. Binyamin’s proximity to Jerusalem and the central region adds to its appeal.

The Israeli public came in large numbers to enjoy the nature, heritage, and outstanding local tourism this region offers. We’re seeing a steady rise in the number of people coming to enjoy Binyamin—right in the heart of the country.”
Kobi Mamo, CEO of the Ancient Shiloh Heritage Site, emphasized that the site was operating nonstop throughout the holiday: “We’re now preparing to continue hosting visitors from across Israel and abroad during the regular season.” The site draws about 120,000 visitors and tourists each year.
