Amid Troubling Reports from Syria, IDF Maintains Operations in the Region’s Buffer Zones

Forces under the command of the 210th Division continue defensive operations in the Syrian buffer zone, maintaining control over key positions in the country, while in Southern Lebanon, IDF struck at a Hezbollah terrorist involved in rebuilding terror infrastructure.

Precision IDF Raids in Syria
Over the past week, paratroopers, armored units, and the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit, all operating under the 474th Brigade, conducted targeted raids in the Syrian buffer zone based on intelligence indications. The forces identified, seized, and destroyed numerous weapons, including rifles, ammunition, missiles, and other military equipment.

Ceasefire Violations in Lebanon
Earlier today (Saturday), an Israeli Air Force aircraft targeted a Hezbollah terrorist in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, the operative was engaged in reconstructing terror infrastructure and directing Hezbollah’s terrorist activities in the region.

Continued IDF Strikes on Hezbollah Targets
Yesterday, the IDF also struck multiple Hezbollah military sites in southern Lebanon. These locations contained weapons and rocket launchers, posing a direct threat to Israel. The presence of such weaponry constitutes a blatant violation of understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

IDF Statement: “We Will Prevent Hezbollah’s Entrenchment”
The IDF Spokesperson stated: “The IDF will continue to take action to eliminate any threat to Israel and will prevent any attempts by Hezbollah to rebuild or strengthen its military infrastructure.”
