While a tense calm may seem to prevail in southern Lebanon, behind the scenes a powerful military operation eliminating security threats to Israeli is underway – while adhering to the ceasefire terms between Israel and Lebanon.
Extensive operations were carried out in southern Lebanon over the past week, during which forces successfully uncovered and destroyed dangerous Hezbollah infrastructure set up to strike Israeli cities and jeopardize the safety of its citizens.

Destruction of Underground Routes and Weapons Stockpiles
During the operations in the Saluki region, paratroopers discovered underground routes that were used as assembly and launch sites for Hezbollah operatives. The tunnels were meticulously inspected in collaboration with the Yahalom Unit and the brigade’s engineering forces, then completely destroyed via huge controlled explosions.

However the mission did not end there. Massive weapons stockpiles were then discovered inside a nearby mosque and a vehicle, which included hundreds of mortar shells, explosives, rockets, and additional weaponry.

Concurrently, Golani fighters had uncovered trucks carrying heavy rocket launchers and warehouses filled with advanced weaponry – rockets, shoulder-fired missiles, and explosives – which Hezbollah had intended to use against Israeli civilians. The forces confiscated the weapons and destroyed the warehouses, ensuring they could not be reused by terrorists.
The IDF emphasized that these operations are conducted with the utmost professionalism and precise coordination between ground forces, engineering units, and intelligence teams – all to ensure Israeli citizens’ peace and security.
