Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet this evening (Monday) with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, in a diplomatic visit focused on critical strategic issues—chief among them, Iran’s nuclear program.
According to a senior Israeli official, Netanyahu plans to present Trump with Israel’s outline for what constitutes a “truly good deal” with Iran—one that includes a complete dismantling of its nuclear capabilities.
The official added that Israel is working to maintain close coordination with the U.S. administration and ensure that any future agreement guarantees a complete halt to the Iranian nuclear threat.

First foreign visit during the trade war
Netanyahu is the first foreign leader to meet with President Trump since his dramatic announcement of a new trade war, which imposed tariffs on 60 countries, including Israel. On Sunday, Netanyahu held meetings with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. The Prime Minister’s Office described the meetings as “productive” and expressed hope that Israel will get relief under the new trade framework.
Gaza and the hostages also on the agenda
During his meeting with Trump, Netanyahu is also expected to discuss ongoing IDF operations in Gaza and the efforts to secure a new agreement for the release of Israeli hostages. Israel emphasizes its determination to increase pressure on Hamas, with hopes that growing dissent within Gaza and continued ground operations will lead to diplomatic progress.
Israel’s message is clear: stop Iran, secure the hostages’ release, and lift tariffs—through a strong and strategic partnership with Washington. Amid global economic and security challenges, Israel is choosing to lead, influence, and take initiative—standing firmly with one of its most vital allies.
