A Colorful Tribute to Shavuot at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center

Over 20,000 balloons were used to create a massive and breathtaking installation for Shavuot at the hospital. Among the balloon creations, all donated, is a fruit basket, a milk jug and even a flying cow.

The holiday of Shavuot is just around the corner – and this year, Hillel Yaffe Medical Center chose to celebrate it in a particularly colorful and extraordinary way: a giant, eye-catching balloon installation was set up in the lobby of Inpatient Building B, an initiative of the Israeli Balloon Artists Association.

More than 20,000 Balloons
Dedicated to the Shavuot holiday, the display features a flying cow, a pouring milk jug, and an enormous fruit basket – all crafted entirely out of balloons. The project, created entirely by volunteers, was the result of a full day’s work by members of the Balloon Artists Association, using over 20,000 biodegradable balloons. The balloons were donated by USA Balloons, and the technical equipment was provided by Amir Cranes.

The installation has sparked tremendous excitement among patients, visitors, and staff.

“There isn’t a person who passes by without stopping to take a photo and feel moved,” shared the hospital.
