IDF Spokesperson, Brigadier General Daniel Hagari, made a statement to the media this evening (Saturday), emphasizing the IDF’s readiness on both the southern and northern fronts, while also addressing the ongoing negotiations in Cairo and the operations against Hezbollah.
“We are heading into a significant week in the south and the north due to the ongoing negotiations in Cairo,” said Brig. Gen. Hagari. “Our readiness is very high, both in offense and defense. The public must remain vigilant and alert.”
Hagari specifically addressed the IDF’s operations against Hezbollah on the northern border. “We are striking at Hezbollah’s capabilities,” he declared. “We have a wide range of offensive actions ready and will act according to the directives of the political leadership.”

This statement comes amid ongoing tensions on the northern border and recurring incidents with Hezbollah. Simultaneously, the negotiations in Cairo, likely concerning a possible arrangement in the Gaza Strip, add another layer to the complexity of the security situation.
Hagari’s remarks highlight the high military readiness on both fronts, while urging the public to stay vigilant. His reference to potential offensive actions, subject to political directives, hints at the possibility of a planned escalation or a response to enemy provocations.
