About Rega News

Our vision is to create a news system that trains the public to adopt proper and healthy news consumption habits. This is achieved by filtering relevant content, emphasizing the positive aspect, and rejecting negative discourse.
In this way, we will learn to listen to the good, and as a result, we will also learn to see the good things around us.

Our Four Commandments:

  1. Filtering – Evaluating whether the content is truly newsworthy
Does everyone need to know this information, or is the purpose of the publication to create division and polarization within Israeli society?
  2. Emphasis – Placement of the news on the website
Does every news story need to appear as a headline article? Sometimes it is sufficient to state the bare facts without offering interpretation or assigning blame. We believe it is better to place good news at the center, highlighting the abundance of positive content around us that often goes unnoticed.
  3. In Cases of Controversy – A Broader Perspective
Every news outlet seeks to promote a particular agenda, often reflected in the narrow lens through which it presents the news. Our agenda is to focus on the good, which we achieve by adopting a broader perspective, presenting all sides of a topic, and offering a more balanced and thoughtful approach.
  4. From Bitter to Sweet – A Positive Perspective
When reporting on difficult news events, we present the facts as they are, avoiding grim interpretations and staying optimistic about the future.
Beyond striving to do good, we stand firmly against media outlets and journalists who foster division and despair in their reporting, and we actively critique such negative discourse in our articles.
