Following intensified IDF operations across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, Israel’s Home Front Command issued updated safety guidelines on Tuesday for residents of the country’s southern region. The directives come amid Operation “Chariots of Gideon,” aimed at dismantling Hamas terror infrastructure.

New Safety Instructions Issued
In most Gaza-border areas, residents are now permitted to resume full activity—subject to a gathering limit of up to 2,000 people. However, this easing does not apply to the following communities: Netiv HaAsara, Yad Mordechai, Zikim, Karmia, Erez, Nir Am, Sderot, Ibim, Gevim, Or HaNer, Mefalsim, Kfar Aza, Sa’ad, Alumim, Be’eri, Re’im, Magen, Nirim, Kerem Shalom, Nir Oz, Kissufim, Ein HaShlosha, Sufa, Holit, Nachal Oz, and Nir Yitzhak. In these communities, previous restrictions remain in place.

That said, the Home Front Command has approved the unrestricted resumption of educational activities and workplace operations across the region, including in the areas where public gatherings remain limited.

During recent ground activity by the Givati Brigade Combat Team, Israeli troops identified two militants disguised as women, hauling sacks from a Hamas military site used to stage attacks against Israeli civilians. The troops coordinated with an aerial unit, which struck and eliminated the suspects. In a separate mission, Givati forces uncovered weapons caches, including rocket launcher barrels, believed to be used by Hamas and posing a direct threat to both IDF forces and Israeli civilians.

Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force struck dozens of military targets across Gaza. These included militants, operational compounds, tunnels, weapons depots, and military infrastructure operated by Hamas.
