Colonel Avichay Adraee, the Israel Defense Forces’ Arabic-language spokesperson, issued an unusual announcement today (Friday), warning residents of Gaza not to approach humanitarian aid distribution centers outside of operating hours.

According to the guidelines, access to the centers is permitted only between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Any attempt to enter outside those hours poses a serious and immediate danger to life.

In his statement, Adraee clarified: “Between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., movement to the distribution centers is permitted. It is important to follow the organizers’ instructions, especially with regard to times of entry and exit.” He added: “From 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., the area is designated a closed military zone. Entry during these hours is strictly prohibited and poses a grave threat to life.”

Large-Scale Humanitarian Aid: Millions of Meals Distributed
Meanwhile, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) announced that in the past 24 hours alone, it had distributed 1.4 million food portions in the city of Rafah.

Since the Israeli Security Cabinet renewed authorization for aid deliveries, more than 8.5 million meals have already been distributed. According to the foundation, it plans to expand its operations soon to include northern Gaza as well.
