Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted a message today (Wednesday) declaring that Iran will not accept any nuclear agreement that restricts its uranium enrichment capabilities. “No enrichment – no deal,” he said.

Araghchi emphasized that Iran has paid a steep price for its civilian nuclear program—economically, industrially, and in human terms—and is therefore unwilling to abandon it. “There is no scenario in which we abandon the patriots who fulfilled our dream,” he stated.

Khamenei’s Response
Araghchi’s comments followed a statement earlier today by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in which he responded to a nuclear proposal recently delivered on behalf of the Trump administration by special envoy Steve Witkoff. Khamenei flatly rejected the offer.

The proposal reportedly called for the establishment of an international corporation to manage uranium enrichment for civilian purposes. However, Tehran rejects the idea as a threat to Iran’s sovereign principles. Khamenei underscored his position by invoking the slogan “We are capable,” a symbol of Iran’s resistance to foreign dependence.

Heightened Alert in Israel
Israel is closely monitoring developments and believes that talks between Washington and Tehran are on the verge of collapse. According to reports, Israeli officials assess that the gap between the sides is wider than ever, and Iran’s continued refusal to open its nuclear facilities to international inspections may increase the likelihood of military escalation. At the same time, the U.S. president has dismissed claims that the United States had agreed to allow Iran to retain enrichment capabilities under the proposed deal.
