On Sunday night, a terror attack occurred in the city of Boulder, Colorado, when a man armed with Molotov cocktails assaulted a group of pro-Israel demonstrators marching in support of the hostages’ release. Eight people were injured, including one woman who was directly hit by the flames and required emergency treatment at the scene.

The suspect, Mohamed Suleiman — an illegal resident from Egypt — was arrested by Boulder police on site. According to authorities, he disguised himself as a landscaper and approached the group equipped with an “improvised flamethrower.” Once identified as the prime suspect, he was charged with multiple serious offenses, including two counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and use of explosives.

Citizens Tried to Save the Victims
According to members of the local Jewish community, the attacker ambushed the demonstrators and struck at a moment when police presence was farther off. Authorities responded within about ten minutes, and in the meantime, civilians attempted to aid the injured — one of them described efforts to extinguish flames on a woman who had been directly hit.

Authorities Respond
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated: “We’re united in prayer for the victims of a targeted terror attack this afternoon in Boulder. Terror has no place in our great country”.

U.S. President Donald Trump was briefed on the incident, and FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that agents are operating on the ground to investigate the circumstances of the attack.

Standing in Solidarity With Them
The Hostages’ and Missing Families Forum released a statement, saying: “We are heartbroken by the suspected terror attack in Colorado and wish to express our support for all those injured in the course of it. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the entire community affected by this violent and tragic event.
