In a broad operation led by Unit 105 of Israel Police’s Lahav 433, dozens of suspects—most of them minors—were arrested for operating so-called “entertainment pages” on social media that featured sexually explicit and harmful content targeting teenagers.

The investigation revealed that the suspects ran Instagram pages under names associated with cities or educational institutions, where they published offensive content that seriously violated the privacy and dignity of minors.

Cooperation with Meta
Some of the pages were removed in collaboration with Meta, and in other cases, investigators were able to identify the individuals behind the accounts. The suspects were brought in for questioning, and their case files will be transferred to the State Attorney’s Office.

“We will treat this with full severity”
Israel Police Commissioner, Commissioner Daniel Levi, welcomed the operation and stated: “This is a vile phenomenon that must be eradicated. As I have already made clear, we are committed to protecting our youth and will deal with this matter with full severity—using our top investigators and every tool at our disposal.”
