This morning (Tuesday, the 800th aircraft landed in Israel , as part of an airlift launched by the Ministry of Defense on the first day of the war. It marks another milestone in a large-scale logistical operation led by the Ministry in cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces, the Israeli Air Force, and the IDF Planning Directorate. To date, more than 90,000 tons of combat, medical, and defensive equipment have arrived in Israel—via 800 flights and approximately 140 sea shipments.
Quiet Reinforcement, Continuous Readiness
Behind these figures lies a vast logistical infrastructure built to ensure operational continuity over time. The effort is led by the Defense Production and Procurement Directorate (DOPP), through the International Defense Transportation Unit and the Ministry’s procurement delegation in the United States, in close coordination with the Air Force and Planning Directorate. The incoming shipments include precision-guided munitions, armored all-terrain vehicles, personal protective gear, advanced medical supplies, and more.

More Than Equipment: A Pillar of the War Effort
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the air and sea lifts are not merely technical undertakings, but essential components in achieving the objectives of the war. Every shipment contributes directly to improving equipment availability for combat units, increasing the IDF’s firepower, and bolstering stockpiles for emergencies and extended conflict. On the ground, the results are already visible—many units are now equipped with advanced systems that were previously unavailable at such speed.

From the Battlefield to the Local Factory
Alongside the international effort, the Ministry of Defense continues to strengthen local production infrastructure. Israeli ammunition and defense technology production lines are being expanded, and the international logistics effort is integrated into a broader policy of reinforcing Israel’s long-term defense capabilities.
“This is a rapid response—but also an ongoing strategy,” said the Public Affairs and Spokesperson’s Department.
