Following last week’s entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, activists from Tzav 9 arrived this morning (Thursday) at Ashdod Port to block dozens of trucks. The movement sprang up in protest of continued aid to Gaza, which according to a large body of evidence reaches the terrorist organization Hamas. The movement’s stated goal is to bring the hostages home by applying maximum pressure on Hamas, with their main action being protesting and blocking the trucks going into Gaza.
Today, the movement claimed that workers from the UN agency UNRWA were loading the trucks with supplies intended to assist Hamas.
“The trucks were scheduled to continue from Ashdod Port to armed militants in the Gaza Strip. Additional activists are on their way to the Kerem Shalom crossing,” it stated.

“We’ll be here, and anywhere else we can, until all the hostages are home”
Tzav 9 further stated: “The shocking failure of knowingly delivering truckloads of goods straight to Hamas murderers—while our soldiers risk their lives in combat and our hostages suffer in tunnels—must be stopped.”
Several activists explained that they came this morning to physically block the aid trucks. “We’ll be here, and anywhere else we can, to protest legally—until all the hostages are home,” they added.
“A slap in the face to every hostage family”
Uri Wachsman, the nephew of fallen soldier Nachshon Wachsman z”l, who was kidnapped and murdered by Hamas in 1994, also came to the protest this morning. Wachsman condemned the display of the hostages’ symbol on the front of a truck delivering aid to Gaza.
“It’s a slap in the face to every hostage family, to bereaved families, and to our fighters. It’s simply horrific,” he said.
