The targeted killing was carried out last week as part of a series of proactive IDF operations under the Southern Command, conducted with guidance from the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence. These operations are part of “Operation Gideon’s Chariots,” which continues with the aim of dismantling terrorist infrastructure and eliminating terror operatives across the Gaza Strip.
Wide-scale airstrike campaign – in both northern and southern Gaza
In the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force struck more than 100 terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip. In northern Gaza, the targets included a weapons depot, armed terrorists, a military facility belonging to Palestinian Islamic Jihad containing weapons, and underground infrastructure. In southern Gaza, the IDF struck observation posts, military buildings, and additional terror-related sites.

The strikes were carried out with close intelligence coordination as part of the focused effort to degrade the operational infrastructure and strategic capabilities of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The IDF emphasized that these operations will continue as long as necessary to safeguard the security of Israeli citizens.
