Senior Hamas Leader Ahmad Kamel Sarhan Killed by Special Forces

Hamas confirms that senior leader Kamel Sarhan was killed in a special IDF operation in khan younis. Meanwhile, the IDF reports a strike on a Hamas command center in the Nuseirat area in central Gaza.

The Hamas terrorist organization confirmed this evening (Monday) that Ahmad Kamel Sarhan, a senior Hamas leader and commander of the Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades, was killed in a special operation conducted this morning in central Khan Younis.

According to Hamas’ statement, IDF special forces entered the city disguised as women in an attempt to capture Sarhan. However, he was killed during a direct confrontation with the forces.

Wave of Strikes in Gaza Following the Operation
Following the targeted killing in Khan Younis, the IDF carried out extensive strikes in other parts of the city. According to Arab media, at least 30 strikes were reported in the area, with air force support from combat helicopters. Medical sources in Gaza reported six fatalities and more than 30 injured, who were evacuated to hospitals in the city.

The IDF Strike Hamas Command Center
Simultaneously with the operation in Khan Younis, IDF and ISA (Shin Bet) forces attacked a Hamas command and control center in the Nuseirat area in central Gaza. The center was used by Hamas for planning and executing terrorist activities against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.

Continued IDF Operations
The IDF Spokesperson confirmed that operations within the framework of Operation “Gideon’s Chariots” are ongoing throughout the Gaza Strip, aimed at toppling Hamas’ rule and neutralizing terrorist infrastructure. “There is no change in the situation assessment, and the operations are proceeding according to the operational plan,” the spokesperson stated.
